Bordeaux holds a coveted place in the world of wine. Bordeaux introduced the concept of classification in 1855 under Napoleon III, and it now serves as an expression of quality and prestige worldwide. The principle of the crus classés (“classified growths”) perfectly illustrates the synthesis of a terroir’s typical characteristics and dedicated human intervention over many generations to ensure quality. We aim to scratch the surface of the Bordeaux terroir and show you some of the wonders it holds.
Our Tour of Bordeaux will be a different experience than our regular Saturday Seminar. This will be a Movable Seminar. In groups of 8 to 10, you will visit 4 locations where a presenter will sample and discuss 3 wines that highlight the particular aspects of Bordeaux:
Your group will traverse your way across Arroyo Vino as you explore the different regions. Departure times are 3.00pm, 3.15pm, 3.30pm, 3.45pm, 4.00pm and 4.15pm.
