The Capponi family has been rooted in Tuscany since the mid 16th Century. Their property and winery, Villa Calcinaia, sits in the center of the Chianti region; it is run by Count Capponi - yes an actual Count! They make a wide range of wines from the region`s flagship grape, Sangiovese, as well as from other, lesser known indigenous grapes and international varieties. The estate also produces Grappa and Olive oil. The Count`s son, Neri Capponi, will be joining us to talk about their historic estate and the renowned wines they produce. Come spend an afternoon learning about and tasting these incredible wines.
