Part of what keeps wine drinking fresh and fun is discovering a grape or region that is interesting, unique and different. After many years of drinking wine, this is a great way to reignite your passion. These wines have a tendency to fly under the radar, not because they’re expensive but because they’re little known to the average wine drinker. But we believe there’s a unique shape and structure to every wine and some of the most arcane varieties and regions can have a lot in common with the flavors your palate already knows and loves. Other times, an esoteric wine can be completely pleasurable in a totally unique way. Inspiration can come from anywhere; whether it’s a fresh, mineral and almond tinged white from Piedmont or an obscure Alpine variety revived by a sustainable producer from Oregon. You’ll never know unless you try it first, so what better way to discover what the more mysterious and unfamiliar bottles in the wine shop taste like, than by coming to our shop this Saturday and seeing for yourself.
