Saturday Tasting: Organic & Biodynamic Seminar

It’s Labour Day Weekend, and in honour of all those hardworking grape growers and winemakers, we’re doing a seminar on organic and biodynamic wines. Despite the myth that organic and biodynamic wines involve simply tossing grapes into a barrel and letting nature do her thing, making these types of wines is actually far more labour intensive: without the convenience of chemical and mechanical intervention, one must be fastidious and hyper-present in the vineyard and in the winery. The folks who farm and make wine following these methods comprise the bulk of producers represented on or shelves, so we figured it was only fair to give them their day in the sun and recognize their hard work.
