We could wax poetical about Burgundy until the end of time, but this isn’t the time or place for that. Suffice it to say, this rainy, mercurial region in France puts out what is undoubtedly the best wine in the world and this oenophilic output would be impossible without a delicious culinary backbone to support it. Burgundian cuisine is exactly what the doctor ordered on a cold early winter evening: hearty and soul warming – and not a truer statement could be made about Boeuf Bourguignon (plus all the other yummy treats will be serving).
