Alice Waters, at her restaurant Chez Panisse, literally redefined American cuisine and the way we think about food and dining. The emphasis on farm-fresh produce and sustainably raised meat that is second nature today can be traced back to her and her restaurant – an establishment which is still at the forefront of the Restaurant Scene today, some 40 years later. Countless Chefs have cut their teeth under her tutelage and countless others have been inspired by her approach, our own Chef Allison among them. This iteration of Family Meal will pay homage to her and the food movement she created.
