Winter Seminar Series: How To Taste Wine

It’s not black magic, although sometimes it appears to be. Understanding the flavors you smell and taste is an important step in learning more about what you are tasting and how you interpret the sensory inputs.
This weekend, we welcome Tim Gaiser, Master Sommelier, to Arroyo Vino for an introduction to wine tasting. Fewer than 300 people worldwide have attained the Master Sommelier title, so we are delighted to have Tim for the afternoon to show us how the very best evaluate a glass of wine. We will sample classic grapes from around the world, and Tim will guide you through the deductive tasting technique. And as part of the proper tasting technique, we are not disclosing which wines we are tasting. We will work through the process together to discover what’s in the glass.
The Seminar begins promptly at 2pm, please arrive a few minutes before.
