We’re hosting a Happy Hour tasting with Knox Clendenen, owner of the winery; he’ll be tasting us through Au Bon Climat’s core line-up, discussing each cuvée as well as the winery’s illustrious history. Au Bon Climat was founded in Santa Barbara in 1982, by Knox’s father Jim, with the ethos of being totally devoted to making classic, Burgundian-styled Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Santa Barbara County. The convergence of cool, brisk Pacific air, marine-based soils, and east-west running valleys of the area provided an ideal place for growing exceptional grapes. Hence the name “Au Bon Climat,” the French idiom for “good place”. In addition, we will have the line-up available in the restaurant for those that would like to grab a snack and a glass of their favorite (our two) after the tasting.
